Design and Implementation of a Traffic Control System Based on Congestion

Abstract: The traffic issues have garnered more and attention on a global scale as the number of cars has grown. One biggest problems is congestion, also fixed-time settings are still used by majority systems today. These technologies unable to dynamically alter timing lights in response heavy traffic. Thanks technological advancements, sensors or cameras can now collect data volume wait times. This study provided an illustration light control system that manage according vehicles each road. Additionally, it showed how was designed using Proteus design suite software prototype implemented Arduino Mega 2560 infrared sensor. Through results obtained, efficiency proposed clear comparing with depends fixed time signals.
